We’ve seen countless Queen tribute acts over the years. And whilst some give a pretty good performance, Queen Extravaganza, Queen’s official tribute band, is definitely hitting all the best notes.

The lead singer, Marc Martel, is a Canadian Christian rock musician born in 1976 whose voice is often likened to the late Freddie Mercury. He has wowed audiences from around the world, with Céline Dion being one of his biggest fans.

Celine’s emotional response to Marc’s magnificent voice in this beautiful rendition of ‘Somebody to Love’ speaks volumes. She and the audience applaud the impressive performance. Fan reactions to this show-stopping performance included “Freddie Mercury would be absolutely proud of him”. With over 30k YouTube likes, Marc’s rendition of this legendary song has garnered praise.

Roger Taylor, Queen’s original drummer, chose the tribute band, which began touring in May 2012. He and lead guitarist Brian May wanted to honor Queen’s music with old and new fans. However, Queen Extravaganza does not perform as Queen in costume like some tribute bands. Taylor is proud of their musical skills.
