Parents in North London who vlog Since 2017, The Kabs Family has been sweeping over YouTube. However, a popular video with 4.7 million views is still going viral and captivating viewers.

Play-arguing about old school music, dad Tay Kabs and daughter Maliya, age four, are seated in the front seats of their parked automobile. Maliya shows off how well-versed in music she is, claiming in a little voice that she knows James Brown, Michael Jackson, and even Earth, Fire. Tay laughs and corrects her, saying, “See, there you go, it’s ‘Earth, Wind and Fire.'”

“Daddy, could you just put on the music please?” I said to him after that. Maliya lays her palm on her heart, shakes her head back and forth, and clicks her soulfully in time, resembling an elderly woman in a gospel church. She then sings Earth, Fire’s “That’s The Way Of The World” word for word, flawlessly (she calls them).

It’s always bizarre to watch children perform songs that their parents enjoyed listening to as children. But Maliya’s endearingly self-assured demeanor, as she dances to ’70s tunes like an adult lady beside her dad who is obviously thinking, “What on Earth have I created?” makes their true daddy-daughter chemistry ten times funnier.

Maliya’s timeless hit, coupled with her childlike articulation, mature mannerisms, and unmistakable love for classic soul music, will melt Music Man readers like butter. Meanwhile, Tay plays the part of exhausted parent to add a touch of relatable humor to the song.

Maliya yells, “This is my tuuune!” as a Bobby Caldwell tune begins to shuffle. She then sways, air-drums, sings, and acts out every line of the verse. Mali abruptly leaps out of the car and starts swaying like a queen on the street while Kool & The Gang’s 1982 hit song “Let’s Go Dancing” blares from the sound system in yet another bizarre moment.

Maliya, who is currently six years old, is a star on The Kabs Family YouTube channel alongside her siblings Taija, 13, and TJ, 3. Their parents, Tay and Chan, 33, are also stars. The family collectively has 1.28 million YouTube subscribers, 1.4 million Instagram followers, 3.5 million Facebook fans, and an astounding 4.1 million TikTok followers.

Following their online success, both parents left their professions to pursue a career as full-time social media influencers. They have a ton of vlogs and challenges on their YouTube page, including a cute video of Maliya applying makeup for her older sister while responding to messages on social media. The nicest parts for us, according to Mum Chan, are spending time together and working as a family, she said in a Mirror exclusive. It’s wonderful to do something you love and spend time with your family, in my opinion, because we all find it so enjoyable. We have the opportunity to become much more involved in their lives, which is something we can’t do when working a nine to five job.

The influencer family is featured in multiple advertisements and sponsorships, such as Cantu Shea Butter, Specsavers, and Colgate toothpaste, in addition to YouTube.
