Cole Brings Plenty, a young actor in development, gained recognition for his roles in “Into the Wild Frontier” and “The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger.” His performance in “1923,” a prequel to the popular TV series “Yellowstone,” helped him become more well-known. Cole portrayed Pete Plenty Clouds, a rugged tribesman defending his family and customs against priests and colonists, in the film “1923.”
On March 31, 2024, neighbors reported hearing a woman yelling for assistance, prompting police to be called to an apartment in Lawrence. Brings Plenty was named as a suspect by the police, and local agencies received an alert. His relatives filed a missing person’s report, concerned for his whereabouts. Cole was reported missing from Lawrence in his 2005 white Ford Explorer, according to a missing person poster his uncle Mo put up on Instagram.
The Kansas Sheriff’s Department said on Friday that Cole Brings Plenty’s body had been located in Johnson County. Police were called to a report of an empty car on Homestead Lane close to Edgerton at approximately 11:45 a.m. In the adjacent woods, they discovered Cole’s body. He had been the target of a search by the Lawrence Police Department because of allegations of child abuse.
Despite his rising career, Cole Brings Plenty’s life was tragically cut short, leaving fans and family in shock.
